Bitrate	180 Mbps recommended (max 240 Mbps)

Subtitles, Captions & Audio Description

Whilst not mandatory, we encourage everyone to produce DCPs with Captions & Audio Description to make your film accessible.

Please refer to our Timed-text in DCPs Best Practices guide for instructions on how to assemble OVs & VFs with timed-text elements.

If you already have a DCP, and would like to create or add Timed-Text or Audio Description please refer to our list of trusted vendors below.‍

QC Process

All DCPs will undergo QC for DCI compliance, and spot checked for common issues such as sync or incorrect audio channel mapping. However, we do not watch your film in full, it is your responsibility to ensure the master you used to create your DCP is free of errors. ‍

We will only contact you if your DCP fails QC.

Create New DCP

DCPs are tricky to get right, and the majority of self-made DCPs fail DCI compliance checks. It's highly recommend you engage a professional mastering facility to create a DCP for you (and as an added bonus, DCPs can be reused for other festivals and screenings!)

Note: We are unable to accept DCPs created with Adobe Wraptor. Any Wraptor created DCPs will be automatically rejected.
